Occidental Tamarindo sits on Langosta Beach, about 1.2 miles away from the popular holiday town of Tamarindo in the north-west of Costa Rica. The area is well-known for its excellent surfing opportunities and good selection of restaurants.

Bar Services at Occidental Tamarindo

This four-star resort is home to two onsite bars, each with its own vibe. La Tortuga Lobby Bar is a relaxed evening spot with views of the sea and live music every night, perfect for an aperitif or night cap with friends. Las Baulas Snack Bar is a more casual all-day venue, offering a variety of drinks, nibbles and small plates by the swimming pool. In the day, the resort’s animation team runs activities by the snack bar, in the evening, guests can enjoy live music.  

Dining Services at Occidental Tamarindo

The Occidental Tamarindo Resort encompasses two restaurants along with its snack bar. Langosta Main Restaurant serves up delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and El Océano boasts an á la carte menu of mouth-watering dishes. To eat at El Océano, your stay at the hotel must be at least three-nights long and you’ll need to reserve your table in advance.

Entertainment at Occidental Tamarindo

The resort’s animation team provide live evening shows, including one especially for kids. Of course, guests can make their own fun too with a dance floor and regular musical performances.

Activities at Occidental Tamarindo

Occidental Tamarindo operates a daily schedule of activities, packed with aerobics sessions, dance classes, beach volleyball games, archery instruction and much more. Alternatively, guests can take things at their own pace and go for dip in the pool, surf at the nearby beach or relax in the hot tub. Families are well catered for with a children’s park and pool onsite and a kids’ club included in the all-inclusive package.

Excursions at Occidental Tamarindo

The resort offers a number of excursions and tours around beautiful Costa Rica including a tour of Borinquén, a trip to Palo Verde National Park and Guatil and a floating expedition down the Corobici River. Simply ask the concierge desk to arrange your adventure.
